Whether you like to fish, golf, hike, mountain bike or just walk, you will love what Klamath Falls has to offer. Wilderness areas abound, Crater Lake National Park is a short drive to the north, Lava Beds National Monument to the south, and our fabulous lakes, rivers and trails provide outdoor enjoyment for everyone year 'round. A new ice rink was completed during the winter of 2002, and a huge Sportspark has been constructed with mostly volunteer local involvement.
Our downtown area has Ross Ragland Theater and the local players' Linkville Playhouse; a great county museum, Favell museum, recognized as possibly the finest Native American & Western collection in the west and the restored Baldwin Hotel. Other historic sites are located north at Collier Park logging museum and Fort Klamath.
Klamath Falls is a small community and though the nightlife entertainment and dining is limited compared to a city like Portland, we are adding more all the time. Several restaurants offer atmosphere as well as fine dining. Ethnic food restaurants are adding excellent variety to our dining choices.
Shopping choices are not as extensive as in larger cities. There is a Home Depot store, Walmart Super Center, Fred Meyers has offered "one-stop" shopping for over a decade. Gottshalks and Ross are also here for department store shopping. If you're looking for Bloomingdale's or Nordstrom's, you won't find it here. But you will find continually expanding local shopping selections, including a wide variety of small retail and service specialty stores.
